Pregnancy symptoms or side effects of going off birth control?

June 2nd, 2010

I pulled my 5th last patch in British Columbia on the Square. In recent weeks, I have the feeling of nausea and cramps and had no appetite. The people have symptoms only after several weeks of pregnancy? Or am I just stopped to treat the consequences of birth control?

You could be experiencing early pregnancy symptoms, but you may also be experiencing the side affects of going off the patch. It could take your body a few months to regulate itself after going off the patch.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!

it could be either. after i got off bc i felt crampy, tired, sick to my stomach and just really lazy, it lasted for about a month or so. i would take a pregancy test just to make sure you are not preggers. and take vitamins, they help.

Some people get symptoms as soon as they convieve. There is no set time in when women start to feel pregnancy symptoms, if they do at all. After affects of stopping birth control can be very confusing. In fact, they can be very similar to the effects of pregnancy. The only sure way of knowing is a test or going to the doctor.

Feeling pregnancy symptoms so early on is rare although it is very possible to fall pregnant immediately after ending the use of birth control pills.

Hi, we are quite similar in terms of length of time being off BC, i came off 25 Dec, not ttc, i have felt all those symptoms, feeling sick ,dizzy, depressed, anxious, no appetite, cramping, i have been told they are all symptoms off getting off BC and you need to wait them out. Feel free to email me and we can get through this together
